TO VOLUNTEER WITH RDA :

Have you been to watch a ride?

Next step to becoming a new volunteerIf you would then like to become a regular RDA volunteer – speak to an instructor or committee member to get an application form.

Have you filled in your application form?

Make sure it is completed fully, including the references, and bring it with you when you first come to volunteer.

You cannot take part in an RDA ride until the application form has been completed and checked by a committee member or an instructor.

Are you under 14 years old?

Next step to becoming a new volunteerYou will need a parent or guardian to sign a disclaimer before you can begin volunteering.

Have you been “Green Carded” by an Instructor?

Next step to becoming a new volunteerThe instructor will train you how to lead the horses or side walk next to a rider. On completion of training you will be issued with a Volunteer Training Record Card.

Are you over 16 years old?

Down ArrowYou will need to have a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. If you have had a current DBS check within the last 6 months OR if you have subscribed to the DBS updating service and give RDA permission to access it – we may be able to use this instead of completing a new disclosure.

Application Form -> (Parental Disclaimer) -> Green Card -> DBS
